Call for essays, poems and short stories for an anthology:

We are now accepting submissions for our maiden Solar Moon Press anthology: Through Their Children's Eyes. We are contemplating the ways in which we humans learn to allow ourselves to become who we authentically are. And the ways in which the dominant social structures/ beliefs (i.e., our parents/ancestors) have empowered us, or potentially, disavowed and even punished us for finding and honoring that truth in our own lives. We speak to the ways in which social structures (often reinforced and perpetuated by our families) harm us, by not allowing us to or belittling us for living our lives in alignment with who we are (as our soul demands). Please peruse the entire website before sending a submission. It will help you to better know whether your submission is aligned with our mission.
We will be offering a contributor writing workshop at a later date. It will enable us to write/ edit together for our final project.

Books of poetry and prose: submissionsWe publish literature for adults, teens and children that is heart focused and seeks to help humans grow into a kinder species and learn to engage more gently with our dear Mother Earth and those other beings who share this beautiful planetary home with us

We are now accepting full length works of poetry or prose (60-300 pages). Our mission is to promote collaboration, cooperation and kindness in the world, and in literature. We accept works of fiction and non-fiction that deal with the topics of developing and embracing the kinder aspects of human nature, those which engender understanding and compassion, works that thoughtfully shine the light on and discuss oppression and its mechanisms, and those that encourage a more dedicated and conscious engagement with Mother Earth and all beings that inhabit this planet. We will consider completed manuscripts and manuscripts that have at least 2 completed chapters. Please peruse the entire website before sending a submission. It will help you to better know whether your submission is aligned with our mission.
If we choose to publish your creation, as a part of that collaboration, you will be asked to contribute your skills to the cooperative. Just as someone will be providing editing, book layout, and design work for your book, you will provide one of those services for another author/ book in the cooperative. Such a beautiful expression of collaboration! Please include with your submission a statement of the skills you would be able to contribute to the cooperative, as well as a statement about why it appeals to you to be part of a publishing cooperative.
